Ivy cast in her first musical Kiss Me Kate

Fans were disappointed when singer Ivy announced that her comeback date will be delayed. However, although we may not see her on music programs, it looks like we can find her on stage in her first musical ever!
On April 26th, Ivy took part in the poster photo shoot of her first musical, Kiss Me Kate, alongside Nam Kyung Joo, Choi Jung Won, and Ha Ji Seung.

This comedy musical is based off of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. In 2001, when it first debuted in Korea, the number of sold tickets exceeded 90% and won the Director’s Award and Best Actress Award in the 8th annual Musical Awards.

Ivy has been double cast as Bianca, who was played by Choi Jung Won 10 years ago.

A representative of the musical said, “I have always wanted to work with Ivy. I believe that the role of Bianca will enable Ivy to show her passion and talent on stage. She will be able to prove her talents to others through this musical.”

This musical is even more special because many of the same actors and actresses from 10 years ago can be found on stage once again.

Kiss Me Kate will begin playing from July 9th to August 14th.

MBLAQ who recently returned with their new title song, Y have just released an application for the Apple Appstore on May 21st. Developed by Danal Co. in collaboration with J.Tunes, the application is FREE and yet is full of features like a paid application.

Park Jaebeom filming a Movie?

Park Jaebeom has asked his loyal fans for a little favor.


At May 24, he posted a message in his official youtube channel saying, "Please do not scream my name when others are performing on stage, only scream my name when I am performing on stage"

Earlier, last May 22, there was much controversy after 2pm performed at the 2010 Dream Concert where the audience started to shout for Park Jaebeoms name during their performance.
Meanwhile, Park Jaebeom is asking his fans to wait a little bit on his twitter for his return for the shooting of his hollywood movie "Hype Nation" which is going to be filmed in Korea by June.

MBLAQ “ Company Boss Rain, Checks to see if we tell stories about him” outburst

MBLAQ has confessed that they are constantly on the watch by Rain.


On MBC Every1 ‘Elegant Life’ airing on June 1st, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Mir told an unhindered outburst about their company boss Rain. Their unhindered outburst also made their manager fidgety and was to the extent that he tried to stop them.

Mir said revealed that he was “thankful” because “If we talk about something other than Rain then we get edited out, so that’s when we started the outbursts on our boss” and “After that Rain always says ‘are you going to use my stories for your broadcast usage.’”

SS501’s Love Ya music video released!

Last week, SS501’s new mini-album Destination was released ahead of schedule along with a teaser for the music video. Now the full length music video for the group’s comeback title track Love Ya has been released!

It’s been over half a year since the group’s last mini-album and fall hit Love Like This. Now after much anticipation, SS501 returns to heat up the summer with this brand new “dark” concept. As previously mentioned, it takes places in a vague Baroque setting as it combines sad classical orchestra with a modern upbeat tone.

Kim Ji Hoon, one of the members of the famous Korean duo group, Duke, was arrested for drug abuse two days ago, on July 7th. But here’s the surprise – this was not the first time he was arrested! In 2005, he was arrested for the use of ecstasy and marijuana, and now in 2009, he was arrested a second time for the abuse of the same drugs. After the struggles and consequences of his arrest in 2005, he had been working hard to gain back his reputation as an actor, singer, and a broadway actor. He began to reattain his once had fame and just recently, people started to forget about his drug scandal in 2005. But sadly, it seems that his entertainment career will hit rock bottom after this second arrest.

KARA MEET FAN IN JAPAN

One of top girl groups, Kara had a press conference and a fanclub(Kamilia Japan) opening event in Japan; in Yokohama with 2,000 fans for the official debut.


They got to Japan on 7 May and will have been till tomorrow, 11 May.
For the press conference, more than 200 reporters and authorities participated. Kara said they could speak Japanese quite fluently since they prepared a lot for debut in Japan.

Kara has launched package album in Japanese version, Special Premium Box For Japan, and they had a time for handshakes with 4,000 fans.

Kara was on the stage with ‘Pretty Girl’ ‘Honey’ ‘Wanna’ and fans came up to stage and had a dance time with Kara.

Rain says goodbye with a hip love song on Music Core!

Rain, one of Korea’s top original megastars, is finally taking a bow and making his leave as he says goodbye on stage at Music Core with Hip Song and Love Song!


When Rain finally made his comeback this year, he had fan girls getting hot and bothered but it seems the good times are coming to an end. Rain is graciously stepping out of the limelight after a successful promotion.

U-Kiss postpones their Philippines concert

U-Kiss fans who were looking forward to seeing their idols perform live in front of them this Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum in Philippines will just have to wait it out a little longer after it was postponed to June.

After School GaHee will be doing her solo activities from this month!

Girlgroup After School eldest member GaHee will release her solo album.

This was revealed on 1st June at 11am when the girls appeared for the brunch party to their essay book ‘Play Girlz’.

GaHee said during the brunch party, “Even though it is different from group activities, it is like the aim of a singer. I am preparing for the solo activities with vocal training and acting lessons.”

To come, the After School will be promoting as 2 unique trios and solo from this month. Nothing has been revealed as to how the remaining members will be regrouped into the unique trios.
