With the release of Big Bang's new album "Stand Up", featuring title song "Haru Haru (Everyday everyday)" and other songs like “Oh, My Friend”, this weekend, there has been much concern on the overwhelming response to this new album.

A representative of YG Entertainment said on 5th August, "Till right now 5th August 5pm, Big Bang’s new album has received preorder of 85,000 copies. Our first batch production has only produced 50,000 copies. With just 3 days into preordering, we have received overwhelming response. Hence we are now rushing on additional production."

So Hee Makes the Headlines with Cute U-Go-Girl Move

So Hee doing Lee Hyori’s U-Go-Girl on radio became the No.1 search term on search engines in a flash. The capture of So Hee doing a cute U-Go-Girl dance move was posted online by a netizen which created lots of interest.

This incident happened when the Wonder Girls appeared on MBC FM “Starry Night” radio program on 27th July. It started with So Hee trying to imitate the dance by trying to move her fingers around. But she realized she did it wrongly after Ye Eun pointed it out to her. She then tried doing it again which was noticed by netizens and bought joy to their watching fans (in the studio).

Netizens who saw the video commented, “very cute” and started searching for the related video. So Hee had just made the headlines a few days earlier with her Beyonce “Freakum Dress” dance item at their 2nd Wonderful fan meeting.

Rain appears in court personally to clear his name

The sudden cancelation of a concert landed a Korean superstar in a fraud case. The concert organizer demanded through court for a compensation of US$40 million from the singer and his previous managing company.The hearing was held in Hawaii on Wednesday and Rain appeared in court to give his statement.Few days before his Hawaii concert on Jun 15, 2007, Rain suddenly announced that his concert will be canceled. The reason given then was that the stage design done by the organizer was not up to his expectations. The organizer, however, believed that the reason the concert was canceled was because Rain had terminated his contract with his then artiste management company JYP; they felt that finding an excuse to cancel the concert is an act of fraud.Though the case was previously trialed in Korea and Rain was found not guilty, the organizer felt that they had been interfered by Rain's representing lawyer at that time and thus requested for him to be in court personally for the trial in Hawaii. The court hearing is currently ongoing till Mar 18. According to reports, Rain has also freed up early March to attend court personally, hopefully the court will clear his name and end the two-year case.

Rain’s Canceled Concert “Cost $1.5 Million”, Saturday March 14, 2009 Korea

In a Wednesday trial at a Hawaii court, President Lee Seung-su of Click Entertainment, who is battling in court with the singer, said a Rain concert that was canceled cost his company $1.5 million.He cited damage both financially and in regards to reputation, but that Rain and his aides did not apologize even once, calling such an attitude embarrassing and dishonest.Click purchased the copyright to the concert slated for June 2007 and argues that Rain and his former agency JYP canceled the show just one month before the concert date, taking $500,000 in copyright fees. Click filed a suit in Hawaii requesting $40 million in compensation.In the Wednesday trial, a Click spokesman said, “Rain and his 90 group members didn’t properly file for a visa, meaning they had no intent to perform in Hawaii. Rain took issue with the stage facility, but the stage set met all requirements stated in the contract.”Lawyers for Rain and JYP said, “Click signed a deal not with us but with Revolution Entertainment, which owned the copyright to the concert. The suit should not target us.” During Rain’s world tour, JYP sold the right to Rain’s North America concerts to Revolution.Rain’s attorney said, “The stage facility didn’t live up to the level of Rain’s performance. He needed huge LED backdrop lights, a waterfall, fireworks, a protruding stage and five elevators. Rain is a fine singer but he needs the appropriate props.”The Hawaii concert to be held at Aloha Stadium was planned as the first leg of the “Rain’s Coming” North America tour. It was canceled abruptly just days before the even, to the disappointment of Rain’s Hawaiian fans.

"SORRY, SORRY" popular group Super Junior had a bright comeback after 18 months, presenting a soft and sexy first stage all at once. On March 13, at 6:30 PM, Super Junior performed a live stage on KBS Music Bank, and met with their fans after a year and 6 months. From Super Junior's recently released 3rd album, the songs and were picked for a unique stage. For Super Junior appeared wearing black suits, with an intense and charismatic choreography which definitely left a lasting impression on the audience; the performance showed how Super Junior reached a higher level of compure and maturity. The choreography was ideated by American artists in charge of popstars such as Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, etc., namely Nick Bass.
